Today’s big plan!

  1. We had a great start to the bridge competition yesterday.  Let’s wrap them up today!
  2. Assemble your linked shapes one at at time. 
  3. While people are attaching their shapes together, let’s talk about the 3d Printed Bridge.
  4. Take the 3d printed bridge quiz and survey.  Refer to the assignment for answers.
  5. Draw a plan for your bridge. Show top, bottom, left and right sides of your bridge. Show where the fasteners will attach.

Period 5:

Let’s get those Arduino Rovers on the move!

We will run your robots through some challenges today.

Next up: the Ultrasonic Robot – after you have passed the Rover challenges this is next. 

Period 4:

Today we will work with the Bambu Labs app that preps your 3d design for printing. 

  1. Click here to download a sample STL.
  2. Open the Bambu Labs app on your computer. It’s installed on your. computer so search for Bambu
  3. We will go through the setup steps together.

What are we doing after break?
3d printed bridge competition: Design a bridge that will be printed and assembled.  Then we will hang weights to see how much weight your bridge can hold.

Today:

If you turned in your chair assembly instructions take look at your grade and consider revising your work for higher grade.

Many instructions were missing:
how many nuts and bolts are needed?
where are they installed?
specifically what tools do you use?
put steps in order with numbering.
