Mr. Milstead and Mr. Varvil are out of the office today. Please follow the directions of your substitute teacher and the information below.
You will be working in the computer lab today and will be back in the shop on Wednesday. Do not use the woodshop or tools today.
- Login to your Google sites account to update your portfolio. If you cannot remember your username or password use the tools that Google provides to recover your login information.
- Each of you should update your portfolio to include the following information:
- Pictures and video of your Marble Maze that shows your visitor the progress that you have.
- Provide a clear caption for each picture so that your visitor understands what is happening in the image.
- Discuss two informal lessons that you have learned over the course of this project. It might relate to a specific tool or process. Each response should be at least three complete sentences in length.
- Discuss what steps you have left to complete in the Marble Maze project.
- Discuss what you would do differently if you were to build a second Marble Maze. Consider any challenges that you have overcame or how you would improve your design or technique.
This is due at the end of today’s class.

-verify that your portfolio is visible and that the images work

- meet with your team
- check with neighbors to make sure marble and exits on proper location
- draw plan with partner and submit final plan
- submit plan to Varvil and Milstead for approval and copying
- in the computer lab:
- upload image of APPROVED marble maze plan
- fix any sharing issues as needed -check this website to see if your website is publicly visible and that the images are visible. Need help fixing an issue? Ask Milstead.
- after approval use band saw to cut panel shapes
- time allowing: work with August at drill press

Text, images and video will help your teachers to assess y0ur progress. It will also serve as permanent and public archive of your work and learning to share with others.
