In this assignment, you will create a stop-motion animation where your main character travels to a different time period, explores it, and brings something unusual back with them.
Animation Requirements:
-at least 45 seconds long
-at least 8 frames per second
-include cutout characters, objects, and detailed backgrounds
-use at least 3 different backgrounds (home time, new time, time travel sequence)
-at least three different sound or audio effects
Story Outline:
1. Main character starts in their present time
2. Main character uses the time machine to travel to another time period. Show the wild time travel process.
3. Main character explores the new time period.
4. Main character encounters an inhabitant of that time period.
5. Main character acquires an object from the new time period.
6. Main character takes the object with them and returns to their home time. period through time travel. Show the wild time travel process again.
7. Main character arrives in their home time period with the object.
8. Show some interaction with the object that is out of its time period.
Starter Ideas:
-a high school student accidentally travels back in time to help his parents fall in love at the Enchantment Under the Sea dance.
-a kid in 2025 brings back a baby dinosaur from the Jurassic period.
-a knight from 1300 travels to the future and returns with a skateboard.
-a teenager travels to 1895 and brings back a smartphone, confusing and amazing the locals.
-a scientist from the future travels back to Ancient Egypt and brings home a golden artifact.
