digital portfolio update:
Add a new update  to your DaVinci Portfolio.
You will most likely have to add a section/page to your portfolio called “Principles of Technology”.
Under that section add a section/page called CAD/CAM.

On your new CAD/CAM page add the following:
-a picture of your keychain (you can add this later)
The answers to these questions:
1. what have you learned about CAD/CAM and 3d design?
2. now that you have experienced working with CAD/CAM and 3d printing what would you like to design and print for yourself?

First project – 3d printed keychain:
>no larger than 60 mm by 60 mm X 20 mm
>make it 6mm thick
>include at least one image imported from the Internet

Submitting your designs for printing:
-in 123d Design click on the top left menu, choose Export as 3d, choose STL as the format
-make sure that the file has your last name (like milsteadkeychain.svg).  No name=no 3d print.
-email them to drake3dprinter@gmail.com
-attach the file and make sure that the file has your last name (like milsteadkeychain.svg)
-put your first and last name in the subject line of the email

Your design will include a relevant image and two to four sentences that describe WHO the person is and WHY you are interested in their story.

submit your design by email to drakelasercutter@gmail.com. Please send me TWO FILES – a PDF version and an SVG version.

Details:
-size: 4 by 6 inches (portrait or landscape)
-one image related to the person – this image should be a line drawing with a transparent background
-two to four sentence description
-a .001 line around the design that will be cut by the laser cutter

Part 3: update your portfolio:
>a photo of one of your laser cut designs
>what you learned about designing for a laser cutter
>describe how you might use the laser cutter for a project of your own

Be sure to include:
-a DaVinci related image that is a line drawing – no photographs
-your first name or initials
-cut lines that are .001 inches thick

Save as a PDF and attach your file.  Put your first and last name in the subject line.
