Today:
1. finish up and demo your Ultrasonic Robot

2. after I have checked off your robot, you may take apart your robot and return all the parts to the proper bin.  The cardboard will go into the recycle bin near the front door.

We will return to driving robots with a fresh design later in the year.

3. Begin exploring the use of a joystick controller and Arduino

If you haven’t had the chance to demo your robot for a grade, let’s do it.

If you have shown me your robot then move on to step 2.

  1. graded assignment: you and your partner will demonstrate your robot as it travels using the path marked on the classroom floor.  You goal is to program your robot to drive straight to a defined spot on the floor and then turn to the destination spot.
  2. while you are waiting for your turn to drive your robot, each of you will complete the Arduino Functions assignment.
  3. after you have completed items one and two, it’s time to give your robot some sensors.  You will add the ultrasonic sensor to your robot. Click on Ultrasonic Robot for details.
