Period 5: Battlebot Update – it’s happening!
Thanks to JP, Dez, Indigo and Zeke for their work on protoypese for the remote controlled robot. They did a TON of programming and testing for us to reach the conclusion that…we can’t pull it off easily.
WHY? Mostly due to power issues. This setup required a TON of power and burned through batteries.
Plan B is for Bluetooth: This is what I have done in class before and it worked well.
What’s different this year? The school took away your access to WIFI which made the Bluetooth setup harder but not impossible.
To remote control your Bluetooth Battlebot. you and/or your partner will need to download and install the free Dabble app on your phone.
You may have to download the Dabble app at home in order to have access to a signal.
