3d Printed Challenge Coin

Challenge coins are a popular way to acknowledge someone’s achievement or participation.

Designs for these objects have many elements that can include:
-images
-text or dates.  Only one for each side.
-symbolic images
-decorative elements like raised or embossed rings.

Measurements:

-no larger than 50mm in diameter (measured from one side to the other)
-total thickness of the two halves put together is 5mm. This means that each half should be no thicker than 2.5mm.

Your mission is to create a TWO SIDED design where each side is printed separately.  Then we glue the two halves together.

Make sure that your graphics are fully attached to the design. See the examples below.

Each side of your design should have at least three elements.  At least four elements should come from something other than Tinkercad.

Find a graphic for your challenge. Bold logos or silhouettes work best. After you find it  click here to convert the file to an SVG.

Using this example of a Washington, DC challenge coin, let’s break down the elements:

Red side (left):
1. a decorative ring.
2. a map of Washington, DC.
3. 2025 date

Blue side (right):
1. DC flag (stars and bars).
2. outline of Capitol Building.
3. 1790: date the city was established.
