Ultrasonic Robot

It’s the moment that you have waited for: robot building time.

Based on your good suggestions, you can work solo on this assignment OR with a partner. Partners will build and program a robot with more features.

Use the physical circuit and program that you built for Ultrasonic Sensor Part 3 as the brains and eyes of your robot.

Your goal is to build a two-wheel robot that can change it’s path to get around obstacles.

In addition to your the circuit that you have already built, you will need the following:
1 robot  cardboard baseplate
2 servo mounts
two wheels
9 volt battery from your kit
9 volt battery wiring from your kit

Robot requirements for solo and partners:
1. your robot can be no wider than five inches from outside of wheels.
2. your robot should turn when it encounters an obstacle.
3. after the turn your robot should drive straight until it detects another obstacle (or the battery dies or a crow carries it away).

Partners will add the following:
1. when the robot is moving, an LED pattern AND buzzer sound activate that indicates that the robot is cruising around. Maybe you will be inspired by this garbage truck in Taiwan.

2. when the robot encounters an obstacle, the LED and buzzer sound should change until the robot starts driving straight again.

Robot assembly requirements:
1. do not use hot glue on any of the following- you will get zero credit if you ignore this guideline:
>servos
>Arduino
>breadboard
>battery
>wires

2. you may use tape to attach the above.

3. snap the servo into the servo holder and then glue the holder onto the base.  DO NOT GLUE THE SERVO TO ANYTHING.

You decide best position for breadboard, servos, sensor and battery.
