Grouping classes

Creating a group of classes allow you to create an assignment for one class and all classes that belong to that group. If you have three French 1 classes then you can group these three classes together. This saves you TIME.

NOTE: grouping only copies one assignment (and related category) at a time. If you want to copy multiple assignments, categories or final grade setup see Copy Class Info.

1. Open the first class that you would like to group.

2. From the Windows menu choose Class Information.

3. Look for the field labeled "Class Group". Enter the name of your group in this field. Something like french1, is34, amlit. DON'T change anything else on this window.

4. Click the OK button.

5. Open the next class that you would like to add to the group. Repeat the steps above and make sure that you spell your group name exactly as you did in step 3.

6. Now put it to use: when you are creating an assignment that you want to appear in all of your grouped classes, check the box labeled Apply to Other Classes in group before you click the Accept button. If you check it after you have clicked Accept you are too late. Check first, then click Accept.
