Your mission is to create a package design in Photoshop using one of the many templates available.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Your product will be a full color, assembled version of your package design.<\/p>\n

You choose:<\/strong><\/p>\n

-the product you wish to package (real or your own creation).<\/p>\n

–the package layout from these designs.<\/a><\/p>\n

Each package design must have:<\/strong><\/p>\n

-at least three unique (different) images not including the barcode<\/p>\n

-text that indicates the product name, description and price.\u00a0 Consider also ingredients, package contents, slogans, benefits, etc.<\/p>\n

-at least two colors<\/p>\n

-a barcode (you can find one on Google images)<\/p>\n

-all sides \u2013 including the bottom \u2013 must have color or graphics<\/p>\n

PART ONE<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>1. Choose a package template<\/a>.<\/p>\n

2. Copy the design to your computer and print it out.<\/p>\n

3. Draw \u2013 yes, draw- your design on the template and then put it together.\u00a0 Use scissors and a glue stick.\u00a0 Click here to see an example of a rough draft.<\/a><\/p>\n

4. Fill out this info on the Photoshop Packaging questionnaire<\/a>.<\/p>\n

PART TWO<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Open your template in Photoshop.\u00a0 You MAY have to switch it to RGB.\u00a0 Change the image resolution to 200 dpi.<\/p>\n

2. Make a copy of the background layer. \u00a0Label the template layer “template”.<\/p>\n

3. Recreate your draft design in Photoshop.<\/p>\n

4. Before you print your final work turn off the TEMPLATE layer if you don’t want the guides and lines to appear in the final version.<\/p>\n

5. Cut, glue and assemble.<\/p>\n
