Adding a button to your stoplight circuit

Adding input and an if/else statement to your stoplight

Part 2: Using your knowledge of circuit building and programing, build and program a stoplight circuit that does the following:

Program sequence:

Green light – waiting for input (the button to be pressed)

The button is pressed and then the light changes to

Yellow light –  on for two seconds then off

Red light – on for three seconds then off

What is circuits.io?
What is a breadboard?
What is an LED?

  1. login to your computer
  2. point your browser to circuits.io
  3. if you have a tinkercad.com account you SHOULD be able to login with that username and password.
  4. if you don’t have an account then create one and login.  Make sure you remember your username and password.
  5. once you have created your account then watch and do this first task on your own.  Click here for the tutorial.
  6. Important skills today:
    1. adding components
    2. wiring
    3. changing wiring colors
