3d printed fastener test

In this assignment you will create a shape that integrates a screw and a nut in two parts.

This is prep for building a bridge with actual fasteners.

You design will have two parts plus your initials:
1. part 1 (green piece) has a 3mm hole for the threaded screw.  The part is 3mm thick.
2. part 2 (red piece) has a space for a press fit nut and a hole for the threaded screw to access the nut. The part is 4mm thick.

Nut measurements are below. It is 2.1 mm thick.

Lay your parts out like this BEFORE you turn them in for printing.

What do you turn in?  Complete step 1 and step 2.
1. Canvas: a screenshot from Tinkercad of your finished design.  How to take a screenshot in Windows.
2. For printing: upload the STL file of your design to this Google Form. 

Here’s how to convert files to STL:
-in Tinkercad click the EXPORT button in the top right hand corner. Choose STL as the file format. Pay attention to where the file downloads on your computer. -make sure that the file has your last name (like milsteadcompleteshape.svg). No name=no 3d print.
