You get to design a shell that will cover the entire base of the car.
- Choose one of the car bases and a handout. Write the number of the car base on your handout.
- Measure the car base and record the measurements on your handout.
- Use the measurements to create a shell that will fit on your car base. Add 1mm to your measurements.
- Use the same methods that we used in the Cyborg insect to create a smooth looking car design.

You can cover the car base with a car design of your own. Or you could cover it with a dragon, an insect, a robot or… what your imagination cooks up!
Your final design should allow all four wheels to rotate and stay in place while the car is moving.
After your imagination, the key to success will be careful measurements. Each of you will receive a paper handout to record measurements. You will need to measure your own car base. Your shell should cover the entire base of the car.

Design: your design should be original. Please do not find an existing design and modify it it to fit.
Assembly: you may glue your printed shell to the car or create a design that snaps on. I had good luck designing a part that grabbed on to the friction motor near the rear wheels.
