How to enter grades using PowerTeacher- this is an easy, web accessible
method of entering progress and final grades without using PowerGrade.
Read on and decide for yourself.
NOTE: If you choose to use PowerTeacher
to submit progress and final grades do not return to PowerGrade to submit
grades. DO NOT ALTERNATE USE OF POWERGRADE AND
POWERTEACHER TO SUBMIT FINAL GRADES. Alternating the use of PowerTeacher
and PowerGrade for progress and final grade submission
will result in the loss and/or corruption of student data, grades and
attendance for your class.
1. Login to PowerTeacher.
2. Click on the backpack icon for the desired class.
3. Click on a student name visible on the left side of the screen.
4. Select Final Grade Entry (Traditional) from the drop down menu
in the upper right hand corner.
5. Select the
desired grade from the grading period drop-down menu. NOTE:
the grading periods are NOT in chronological order.
6. Entering comments (as of 4/06 the comments method described
below does work): You may also enter a comment in the comment
window. There are
two
options:
>select a comment from the comment bank and click on the
arrow to move the comment into the blank window.
>click in the blank comment window and type a freeform
comment. Please limit each comment to 25 words. You may
also enter comments following this
method. Just what you wanted-another choice.

7. When you have entered the desired grade and/or comments
click on the Submit button.
8. To move on to the next student click on the student's first
name in the left-hand window. |
