How to manually override a grade
This feature allows you to add a No Mark, Incomplete, Credit or No Credit OR to change a grade from a calculated grade to the appropriate letter grade. Manual override can also be used to change a letter grade without affecting the actual percentage grade.
1. Open the class where you could like to change a grade.
2. Place the pointer on the grade to be changed.
3. Double-click on the grade.
4. The Final Grade window will open.

5. Check the box next to "Manually override this grade".

DO NOT CLICK INTO THE GRADE FIELD. JUST GO ON TO STEP SIX.

Trust me.

6. Make the desired change in the Grade field and click the Save button when done. You do not have to change anything in the Percent, Points or Pts. Poss fields. Please use only the following UPPER CASE codes for non-letter grades:
-CR (credit)
-NC (no credit)
-NM (no mark)
-I (incomplete)

7. A manually overridden grade will look like the sample on the right. The background shading of an overidden grade will change as indicated by the arrow.

To restore a grade follow the steps above and clear the check box in step five.
