Synchronize PowerGrade

There are a variety of reasons to synchcronize PowerGrade with the PowerSchool server. These may include:

• resolving an attendance discrepancy between PowerGrade and PowerSchool.
• addressing an incorrect class roster (students aren't being dropped or aren't appearing).
• when directed by a cadre member or tech support.

Follow along. Note that the synchronization process must be run for each class as needed. Synchronizing once will only affect the class that is currently open.

1. Login to PowerGrade and open the desired class.

2. Before going further click on File and choose Make Backup. It never hurts.

2. Click on the Utilities menu and select Synchronize with Server from the menu.

3. Select the desired option.

Attendance will resolve any discrepancies between PowerGrade and PowerSchool. Class roster resolves and discrepancies in the class roster. Settings-use with care-this can erase any customized settings that you have carefully crafted. Class list restores any missing classes to your class list. Student photos- don't use this settings. It is a very slow process and the pictures may not appear after all that waiting.
